I like your easy style of explaining the subject, I have read most of the others. 
However, I still can't find anything explaining how one would position a box to the left, and why using z-index doesn't create a clean page so one may postition say an image, without it still working off the other elements on the page on the base page. 
Also, I haven't had any luck finding information on what size to make the page in pixels so that it looks the same for all browsers. I am assuming I use a container but what size, if so how would I center the container on the page?
I will keep the print outs of your page for reference. Oriole</description>
